Abstract: Welcome to the second edition of PROBATION junior Journal, volume I. Based on day to day observations and research we delve into new debates regarding the penal system. With this new edition, we remain confident that young people have strong and formative ideas without interdisciplinary limits and look to challenge current trends by bringing forth questions and creative mitigation strategies to better our existing system. Book review – Florian, G. (2002): Prison Psychology, Oscar Print, Bucharest

Adriana CULCEAN

Abstract: A fascinating and revolting universe at the same time, nonetheless, the penitentiary is a world in a permanent psychological implosion: the coordinates of the existence are crime, failing, pathological, stress, despair, helplessness. That is why the human phenomenon of prison seems to be more fitted to be told, panoramically presented with all shadows and lights, difficult to believe but still existing! However, the penitentiary offers reasons for optimism because it is always causing genuine human experiences in which at least for some prisoners, the world of values is put again in his natural order.

Book review – Goffman, E. (2005): Asylums, Poliron, Iași

Romelia BLEJAN

Abstract: Asylums, one of the outstanding books by sociologist Erving Goffman provides a comprehensive view on the lives of imprisoned persons, detailing aspects which, although known by many are subjects very difficult to achieve. The world depicted by Goffman in his book described a vast difference in human categories of those in the prison system. With this book, Goffman awakens the reader’s interest in how the various institutions: psychiatric hospitals, prisons, military training schools, etc. have their own value systems, their own culture, and practice their own universe; aspects of which influence the largely present and future behavior of institutionalized person(s) and employees of those institutions.

Juridical-cannon essay theory – history of divine process

Cătălin Ștefan POPA

Abstract: Human rights are the main conditions that allow each person to develop their innermost qualities. As a means of knowledge of facts which occurred in objective reality, the evidence is related to the philosophical question of the possibility of knowledge phenomena of nature and society and human rights for not prove a law is that and it would there (Idem est non esse, et non probar). Lack of evidence is an important risk in turning subjective civil rights, because even if the formal right may exist (no evidence), it can not be exercised normally.
